Well the new gearbox is back in. This new box is a series 2A box and went in no problem (swopped the main shaft with my old one from the S3 box). Also the clutch was changed and the clutch pressure plate, and of course the release bearing.
Over the next week i will be connecting everything back together and see if its all working again. See pic below of the fitted box.
